Vendor Feature: Kimberly Hensley Events
We are really excited about this blog post because we are featuring one of our favorite vendors: Kimberly Hensley Events! We got in contact with Kimberly and had her answer a few questions about weddings and working with us!
Tell us about yourself and where you’re based!
I’m a wedding planner located in St. Petersburg, Florida and have been in the industry for almost 10 years now. I’m a dog mom to my puggle Louley. I’m an obsessed dog lover and animals of all kind. I’m crazy over navy blue. I love gold. I live for Sunday champagne brunches. I’m over the top organized (obsessively). I would rather eat dessert for dinner. I’m a huge family person. My hobby is decorating. I can binge watch TV like it’s an Olympic sport. My friends will tell you I’m funny & animated. My clients will tell you I’m real and honest. I love to laugh with my clients – contrary to popular belief, wedding planning doesn’t have to be so serious! My brides become my friends and I have the best career I could ever ask for.
What is your favorite part of the planning process with a client?
My favorite part of the planning process is building a relationship with my clients. I have such a cool career where I get to meet people from all over the country that I would have never known. I love meeting their families and becoming part such a big part of their wedding planning experience!! A lot of my clients become good friends after the wedding day!! My other favorite part of the planning process is the wedding day, it’s like my super bowl where everything I have been working for all year finally comes together!!
Can you share a memory about working with Bay Kings Band?
OMG…. During our events together, the dance floors are ALWAYS packed ALL NIGHT and my clients always rave to me that they are so happy to have had Bay Kings as their band!!!
Share one of your most memorable experiences as a wedding planner. There are so many, one that comes to mind is the time I had a tent blow away during set-up and break and it took the lighting with it. The tent company had to get new poles for the tent and more people because the wind was so strong. By the time it went up, we had an hour to set up under the tent before the guest came. ALL the vendors, including Bay Kings Band chipped in and we got it done. The waters were being poured as guest walked in. It was the craziest experience I have ever had and the most memorable.
What is your business mantra?
To produce flawless weddings that are a reflection of the couple.
